Adventure Manager

Summary
The Adventure Manager at Canyon of the Eagles Resort is a dynamic and pivotal role, combining the responsibilities of an activities manager with the expertise in adventure sports like mountain biking and kayaking. This role involves developing and maintaining systems for managing inventory, ensuring detailed organization, and fostering a hospitable and engaging environment for all adventure activities at the resort.
Essential Functions:
- Develops, implements, and manages systems for tracking and maintaining adventure equipment inventory, ensuring detail-oriented accuracy and security.
- Designs and oversees a diverse range of adventure activities, including mountain biking, kayaking, and other outdoor pursuits, tailored to all skill levels.
- Ensures the safety and satisfaction of guests engaging in adventure activities, adhering to the highest standards of safety and guest service.
- Trains and supervises staff involved in adventure activities, promoting a culture of enthusiasm, safety, and hospitality.
- Collaborates with other departments to integrate adventure activities into the overall guest experience at the resort.
- Maintains an updated knowledge of best practices in adventure sports and outdoor activities.
- Manages budgets and resources efficiently, including the procurement and maintenance of adventure equipment.
- Fosters a welcoming, inclusive, and exciting atmosphere at the Adventure Hub.
- Handles guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns related to adventure activities with a hospitable and solution-oriented approach.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing adventure activities or similar roles in a hospitality or outdoor recreation setting is desired.
- Passionate about adventure sports like mountain biking, kayaking, and other outdoor activities.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, particularly in managing valuable inventory.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Commitment to safety standards and best practices in adventure and outdoor activities.
- Hospitable and engaging with outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to develop and manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Proficient in relevant software and systems for inventory and activity management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate adventure activities.
- Certifications or specialized training in adventure sports, first aid, and CPR is preferred.
