Responsibilities:
- Conduct complete patient assessments, including physical examinations, medical histories, and symptom evaluations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections.
- Prescribe medications and therapies, in accordance with state regulations and practice guidelines.
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive healthcare measures.
- Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Stay current with advances in healthcare practices and regulations by participating in continuing education programs.
Qualifications:
- Valid and unrestricted Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license in Washington state.
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization as an ARNP.
- Certification as an ARNP by a recognized certification board (e.g., American Nurses Credentialing Center).
- Strong knowledge of primary and specialized healthcare practices, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
- Excellent clinical and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
