UNC Women's Health at Eden is currently seeking and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to join our OB/GYN practice in Eden, NC. This is a part time position (2-3 days per week), which involves providing comprehensive outpatient care to women across the reproductive lifespan. The ideal candidate should possess excellent clinical skills, compassion, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.

UNC Women's Health at Eden is currently seeking and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to join our OB/GYN practice in Eden, NC. This is a part time position (2-3 days per week), which involves providing comprehensive outpatient care to women across the reproductive lifespan. The ideal candidate should possess excellent clinical skills, compassion, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and prenatal care for obstetric patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as ultrasounds, lab work, and fetal monitoring as necessary.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the OB/GYN team, ensuring comprehensive and personalized care.
- Provide patient education regarding prenatal care, family planning, contraception, and Women's Health issues.
- Perform routine gynecological exams, screenings, and minor procedures, including pap smears, breast exams, and contraceptive management.
- Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and preventive health measures.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and updated electronic medical records (EMRs) in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant with with a minimum of 1 year of experience in Women's Health.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice in the state of North Carolina; or the ability to obtain one.
- Proficiency in conducting gynecological exams, prenatal care, and managing common Women's Health conditions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Knowledge of EMR systems and ability to navigate and document patient information accurately.
- Dedication to continuing education and staying updated with advancements in Women's Health practices
