Job Summary: InSite is currently seeking a 1099 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to perform tele-psychiatric and in-person visits for clients based in Vineland, New Jersey. The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Provides comprehensive patient care, including diagnosing and managing acute and chronic health conditions. Prescribes medication and provides treatment plans to patients based on their health needs.
What You'll Do:
• Provide initial and ongoing psychiatric evaluation to patients through the lifespan
• Attend clinical meetings
• Participate in department training and follow strict ethical and clinical guidelines
• Demonstrates a patient-first mentality
• Prescribes medication and provides treatment plans to patients based on their health needs.
• Collaborates with physicians, other medical professionals, and the healthcare team to provide a holistic approach to patient care.
• Conducts and uses research to improve healthcare practices and patient outcomes.
• Provides patient and family education to promote health and manage disease.
• Conducts physical exams, records patient medical histories, and interpret lab and imaging results.
• Operates with the highest level of conduct, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Complies with local, state, and federal regulations, company policies and best practices. Wears PPE when required.
• Reports any issues or incidents promptly.
• Provides preventative health services such as immunizations and health screenings.
• Participates in quality improvement activities in the healthcare setting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in medical terminology and healthcare systems.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare software.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in electronic health records and clinical software systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of conversations, data records, files, and other vital information.
• Ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Education and Experience:
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the state of practice with a PMHNP degree
• A minimum of one year of experience as APN or similar role.
• Active NJ state licensure as an RN and APN
• Active RN licensed in the state where employed and board-certified by either the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) is required - (new grads are welcome to apply post licensure)
• APN authorization in the state where employed to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Active DEA (or application in process)
• Prescriptive authorization
• Sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
• Superior communication, patient/customer care, and leadership abilities
• Excellent organization skills coupled with a team-player mentality
• Desire to work with diverse populations
• LGBTQ ally and bilingual are a plus
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting, standing, bending, reaching.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
• Occasional availability outside of regular business hours.
