Role Overview and Responsibilities

1st Shift Monday - Thursday 5:00am -3:30pm

As an Advanced Electronics Printed Circuit Board Troubleshooter, you will ensure that PCBs are operational. In this role you will perform testing, analysis, troubleshooting and rework and repair of electronic circuit boards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Test, troubleshoot, rework and repair assigned assemblies.
  • Conduct failure analysis.
  • Identify and communicate trends in manufacturing and component failures.
  • Document test failures following proper procedures.
  • Read and interpret schematics, drawing and prints related to assigned electronic circuit boards.
  • Generate defect data queries and analyze trends to reduce rework.
  • Complete complex test equipment setup.
  • Operate various functional test sets (ICT and HASS).
  • Assist engineering with development of functional test equipment set up and engineering changes related to equipment.
  • Perform test equipment repair and enhancements.
  • Follow test procedures and recognize electronic values, such as volts, amps, ohms, farads.
  • Use proper circuit board and material handling practices to prevent damage.
  • Follow ITAR regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
  • Associate of Applied Science degree in electronics and a minimum 4 years of experience; OR equivalent proven experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic products.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of analog and digital test equipment
  • Experience operating electronic test equipment (DMM, power supply, oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Certify in IPC and J-STD-001 industry standard workmanship specifications for soldered electronic assemblies preferred.

 

Physical Demands: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by Team Member to successfully perform of the essential functions of this job.

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to otherwise move objects.Constantly reach, lift, grasp, talk, hear 90-100% of the time; frequently stand, walk, finger, feel, and do repetitive motion 60-90% of the time; Occasionally balance, push, and pull 30-60%

 

Visual Acuity: The Team member is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities for operation of machines, including visual inspection, using measurement devices; and/or assembly of parts at distances close to the eyes. Ability or increased ability to see color, or perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions.Work Environment: The Team member is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not room temperature changes, there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to increase volume to be heard above ambient noise level. Team Member is required to wear safety glasses on a constant basis 90-100% of the time.
