Job description

Medical Network of Alaska delivers leadership, support, and guidance to healthcare facilities of all sizes across multiple specialists with the primary goal of providing accessibility, value, and quality medical administrative support services.
What You'll Do:
Responsible for monitoring, diagnostics, and ensuring that all office systems are properly configured for maximum efficiency and uptime. Must work diligently and accurately and possess great problem-solving abilities to fix issues and ensure functionality.

  • Assists the system administrator in installing, rolling, and training new Computer & Network systems.
  • Performs routine maintenance and updates to computer & network systems.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshoot problems on local area networks (LAN) and data networks using Microsoft operating systems.
  • Performs some programming and may be responsible for script writing.
  • Helps build and maintain IT knowledge base with thorough documentation of issue resolution.
  • Assists with testing and deploying new internal software releases.
  • Consults with senior peers on specific projects.
  • Displays moderate skills with a high level of proficiency.

What You Need For This Job:
  • Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university; or two-three years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must reside in or near Anchorage, Alaska.
  • Have general knowledge of EMR software, Database software; Sage Accounting software; Adobe Design software; Brower Internet software; Microsoft 365; Azure; VMWare; VEEAM; 3CX; Firewall Configuration; Windows Server.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands, or feel and talk and hear. Ability to occasionally sit, reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
