Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our team. As an ESL Teacher, you will be responsible for providing English language instruction to non-native speakers, helping them develop their language skills and achieve their academic and personal goals. Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that focus on developing students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English
- Assess students' language proficiency levels and create individualized learning plans to meet their specific needs
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Incorporate technology and learning tools into the classroom to enhance the learning experience
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes cultural understanding and appreciation
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred
- Experience working with diverse population in a classroom setting
- Teaching experience in adult, vocational ESOL or GED and with learners with limited literacy skills
- Must be from local MVA area and punctual
- Computer literate
- Pleasant, upbeat, energetic, and active
- Daily participation in professional development
- Have the ability to reach student learners via life skills & creativity
