Admitting Clerk/Receptionist

Surgicare of Hawaii is an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) that is dedicated to ensuring patients are able to receive safe effective patient care for their scheduled same day surgeries. Position/Job Duties

This position is for full-time (early shift- to start at 0530) and to start as soon as possible.

Responsible for helping with administrative duties and working with other business office associate team members. The position and responsibilities include:

• Creating & maintaining medical records
• Admitting patients for their scheduled procedures
• Maintaining HIPAA compliance
• Provide customer service
• Educating patients on their financial responsibilities, patient rights, living will/advance directives and all other required admission tasks.
• Performs related tasks as require.

Supervision

This position must be self-directed and will work under the supervision/direction of the Business Officer Manager.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities & Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Previous customer service or medical office experience preferred. Must have strong computer skills and be knowledgeable on medical terminology. Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug-screening prior to employment.

Salary

$18.00-$20.00 depending on experience
