Muir Wood Adolescent & Family Services is a residential treatment program designed specifically for teens ages 12-17 suffering from mental health and substance use conditions. The Admissions Therapist’s primary responsibility is reviewing appropriateness of prospective clients and clearing pre-admission assessments done by the admissions department for entry into the different Muir Wood programs. The Admissions Therapist gathers additional clinical information as needed and is an effective resource to clients’ families and Muir Wood staff, ensuring a smooth and organized admissions process. This position focuses on being a resource internally and externally to ensure the safety and appropriateness of the client milieu and is a key member of the Muir Wood Admissions Department.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Review and clear pre-admission assessments for entry into Muir Wood programs in a timely manner
  • Documentation of feedback into Salesforce and EMR
  • Provides a clear understanding of Muir Wood program to parents and assist with a smooth admission
  • Communicating with Kaiser case managers and families to ensure smooth admission process
  • Complete admissions screening and assessments, as needed
  • Document all communication with referral sources and families in Salesforce as well as complete all required fields in Salesforce for proper tracking and reporting promptly and accurately.
  • Work closely with the business development team on both admissions and referral.
  • Attends trainings and staff meetings as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the admissions department in behavioral health settings preferably in a residential program, preferred
  • Master’s level licensed clinician, (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD)
  • Working knowledge of insurance verification, preferred

Pay is $90,000-$110,000 based on education and experience

This position is onsite at our Petaluma, CA corporate office
