Delta College is seeking a full-time Admissions Representative for our Covington campus. The perfect candidate must be goal-oriented, highly motivated, and have excellent customer service skills. The Admissions Representative assists and guides prospective students searching for career development. Other responsibilities of the position include:
- Recruiting students into career training programs.
- Conduct virtual and face-to-face interviews to assess prospective students' educational needs, vocational ambitions, aptitudes, and abilities and help match prospects to career training.
- Scheduling appointments with incoming prospects for campus visits and providing information about the different career programs offered.
- Participating in school Career Day Events and College Nights.
- Helping the prospective student navigate the admissions requirements and the documentation needed to meet the demands of various regulatory entities.
- Follow-up contacts via phone calls, emails, texts, etc.
Requirements:
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be comfortable and confident with making and receiving a high volume of phone calls.
- Must be computer-literate and fully utilize and record all CRM program activity.
- The successful candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Experience in recruiting, career counseling, sales, or customer service is strongly preferred but not required.
This position involves heavy phone work and follow-up, but no cold calling. All necessary training will be provided.
