The Arc Central Chesapeake Region supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live, work, and connect with their communities.
As the Admissions Facilitator, you will manage and facilitate the admissions process across the organization for all services. In partnership with Program Directors, the Admissions Facilitator will coordinate a person-centered intake process for those interested in The Arc’s services, working to ensure that the services people enter are ones that empower them and align to their vision and mission for themselves.
This position works in partnership with people interested in services and their families, linking them to the appropriate services within The Arc and supporting them throughout the admissions process. Part of managing an organization-wide admissions process and proactively communicating with those seeking services is attending Transitioning Youth fairs, collaborating with school systems and community groups, and reviewing referrals from CCS agencies and other groups. The admissions process requires collaboration among different departments and adherence to DDA requirements and paperwork, so the Admissions Facilitator must be a skilled communicator who is detail-oriented and solutions-focused.
This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, though a bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field is strongly preferred, plus three years of professional experience facilitating admissions and/or intake process services with experience in person-centered planning for people with IDD. The annual salary is $70,000 and comes with a competitive benefits package along with periodic telework eligibility.
