```Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Admissions Coordinator to join our team. As an Admissions Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions process for our patients. You will be responsible for coordinating patient admissions, gathering necessary information, and providing exceptional customer service. If you have excellent organizational skills and a passion for helping others, we would love to hear from you. Duties:
1. Be knowledgeable of all administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines.
2. Be knowledgeable of all pertinent federal, state, and local laws regarding admissions.
3. Facilitate timely and informative communication with other departments on a daily basis.
4. Lead discussion of all pertinent admission, discharge, transfer information at daily admissions meeting.
5. Participate in marketing and public relations activities in conjuntion with the Director of Marketing.
6. Maintain positive relationships with, and become a trusted resource for all applicants, referral sources and the community.
7. Report the status of departmental operations to the Director of Marketing on a regular basis; including a monthly statistical report, and any reports as requested by the Director of Marketing.
8. Receive and follow work schedule instructions as well as initiate new responsibilities as outlined in the CHI, Avery Heights, and Admissions Department policies and procedures manual.
9. Promptly respond to inquiries by letter, phone or in person and document the number of inquiries received, information requested and date sent. Identify how the inquirer decided to contact Avery Heights (ad, word of mouth, discharge planner, etc...)
10. Provide a tour, or arrange tours to be given, for the RCF, ICF, SNF, short-term/transition unit.
11. Maintain confidentiality of pertinent pre-admission and resident information to assure protection of resident rights.
12. Explain to residents, family members or responsible parties, pertinent policies and procedures as required by the state and federal government and CHI/Avery Heights.
13. Perform other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by the Director of Marketing, or the Administrator.
