Job Summary/Basic Function
The Office of Admissions seeks hard-working, highly self-motivated, enthusiastic and energetic students with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills as well as strong leadership qualities. This position will report to the Director of Access Engagement & Events as part of the recruitment and campus events team, assisting with recruitment of prospective students and general tasks to support communication with these prospective students.
Responsibilities include:
  • Giving campus tours
  • Developing relationships with prospective students, parents, high school counselors and campus partners
  • Communicating with prospective students via email, phone, text, social media and in person
  • Assembling mailings and packages for prospective students and high school counselors
  • Data entry of prospective student information
  • Assist with creating and production of recruitment events to help students connect with WSU
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to give at least 2 campus tours per week. Campus tour times are Monday-Friday, at 10:00am and 2:00pm.
  • Ability to work 2 after hour tours per semester. After hour tours are Wednesdays at 6:00pm and Saturdays at 10:00am.
  • Attendance of mandatory weekly Wednesday ambassador meetings, 3:30pm-5:00pm.
  • Reliable form of transportation.
  • Ability to visit assigned high school on a monthly basis.
  • Represent the University in a positive and welcoming manner. As an ambassador, you are often the first contact a prospective student has with Weber State University.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with and knowledge of Weber State University.
