Great Lakes Institute of Technology is seeking a

FULL-TIME ADMISSION REPRESENTATIVE.

Entry level wage: $17:00 per hr. / Competitive salary based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and their families, providing information and guidance throughout the admissions process.
• Responsible for connecting with prospective students and assisting them in assessing their interests, skills and career goals in order to make an informed decision on the best educational path to pursue.
• Conduct admissions interviews and school tours using the approved/provided presentation materials while providing a full and accurate description of the educational programs we offer.
• Demonstrated ability to respond to all prospect inquiries in a timely manner via phone, email, and text message.
• Effective and comfortable with initiating outbound communication with prospects, and maintaining contact with prospective students/applicants to ensure they remain informed and connected to the school.
• Ability to work closely with prospective students, other admissions staff and financial aid staff to ensure a smooth and seamless enrollment process.
• Excellent organizational, tracking and follow-up skills required.
• Assist students in completing the application process, including reviewing and evaluating application materials.
• Participate in recruitment events, such as school fairs and high school visits, to promote the institution and attract prospective students.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates’ degree with two years of sales experience; and/or satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
• Knowledge of higher education processes, practices and admissions communication techniques.
• Must be proficient in MS Office with the ability to learn educational software as required to effectively perform the job.
• Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to listen effectively to prospective students.
• Ability to work independently and meet required deadlines and goals and must apply fair, honest and ethical practices at all times.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Past admissions and/or telemarketing experience is a plus.
• Experience using Admissions Software such as Verity and Nexus
