Job description

Responsibilities:

· You will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient HR operations.

· Your primary duties will include maintaining employee records, coordinating recruitment efforts, assisting with onboarding and off boarding processes, managing HR documents and databases, and supporting various HR programs and initiatives.

· Schedules and organizes appointments for phone screens and interviews.

· Follow up with new hire regarding benefits, needs, questions, etc.

· Work in partnership with the HR Manager and Marketing Specialist on all social media content and recruiting advertising.

· Process and manage payroll for employees using accounting software (Gusto).

· Ensure accurate and timely payment of wages, salaries, and benefits to employees.

· Maintain and update employee payroll records, including deductions, taxes, and other withholdings.

· Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and other departments as needed.

· Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies or errors.

· Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reporting.

· Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data and compliance with company policies and procedures.

· Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.

· Direct communication with company owner in Microsoft TEAMS.

Experience:

· Minimum of 1 years of experience in payroll processing or related field

· Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices

· Proficiency in using accounting software for payroll processing (e.g., Gusto)

· Familiarity with technical accounting concepts and procedures

· Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

· Ability to perform general ledger reconciliations.

Skills:

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations

· Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, TEAMS) for data analysis and reporting purposes

· Knowledge of flagging and traffic control standards (or the willingness to research and learn) a plus.
