Come be a part of the supportive, fun, and small Vermont Board of Medical Practice division. The Board is responsible for the licensing and oversight of physicians, physician assistants, radiologist assistants and anesthesiologist assistants. Each year the Board processes thousands of initial and renewal medical license applications in addition to handling complaints. This position will provide administrative support and be responsible for handling mail, answering phone calls, scanning paper documents into our licensing database, maintaining digital and paper files, responding to inquiries about medical licensure in Vermont, and documenting complaints in our database.
This position is not eligible for telework and requires fulltime in-office work.
This position, Administrative Services Technician III - Limited Service (Job Requisition #48812), is open to all State employees and external applicants. It is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized for a specific period of time. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs.

AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. Work is performed in a standard office setting.
High School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of office clerical experience.
OR
Completion of a vocational/technical training program in business, office administration, financial support or related area AND one (1) year or more of office clerical experience.
OR
One year of full-time college coursework in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND one (1) year or more of office clerical experience.
OR
Two years or more of full-time college coursework OR an associate's degree or higher in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field.
OR
One (1) year or more as an Administrative Services Technician II with the State of Vermont.
Experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization. Administrative support include those functions which keep the organization running or provide the resources for others to provide the programmatic work (e.g., accounting, budget management, grant administration, finance, human resources, payroll, purchasing, or space management).
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
