The Position
Administrative Services Officers function as business managers for a large division or major program area or facility, with responsibility for accounting, budgeting and business management of various services and operations.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife is looking for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to support the Director's Office and Department. This is being recruited as an underfill for an Administrative Services Officer 2. The incumbent reports to the Administrative Services Officer III and is responsible for the management of budgets and accounting within the Fiscal Services Section. The incumbent is responsible for budgeting and managing eight executive budget accounts and four non-executive accounts with varying financial structures and funding sources. This includes review and approval of approximately seventy to ninety work programs annually. The position assists in the development, documentation and justification of the agency's biennial budget; reviews proposals and implements changes in accounting and reporting systems; ensures internal controls and administrative procedures are reviewed and updated; and performs operational, statistical, budgeting, data system and fiscal analysis. The position also performs all agency grant draws, manages conservation bond funds, and supervises a Budget Analyst 1, Budget Analyst 2, and two Accounting Assistant 4 positions. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, accounting, finance or related field and three years of professional experience including two years of responsibility for major business operations/functions such as grants administration, contract and lease administration, purchasing and warehouse operations, human resources, Information Technology or facilities maintenance and construction; and one year of experience formulating, developing and analyzing program or agency budgets and/or conducting statistical/economic data collection, analysis and research involving the application of advanced statistical, mathematical and economic principles and research modeling; OR one year of experience as a Budget Analyst II or Economist II in Nevada State service performing duties as described above; OR two years of experience as a Management Analyst II in Nevada State service performing duties as described above; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
