Administrative Clerk
Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer the main phone line and direct all calls appropriately and courteously.
Submit employee uniform forms (and ensuring their accurate completion) and ensure payment is properly taken and documented.
Scan, sort, distribute and or file weekly/monthly/quarterly paperwork (may include HR and Finance-related documentation).
Handle all complaints in a professional, calm manner, listening to the customer and obtaining their phone number(s) so a manager can respond quickly.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide general administrative support to all Leaders, supervisors, and other office employees (e.g., HR and Accounting Departments).
Answer incoming questions in a responsive, accurate fashion and escalate restaurant or personnel-related matters to the right person promptly, asking for direction or guidance when proper.
Support project-related or special requests from the company owner or other managerial staff.
Follow all opening/closing procedures thoroughly, making sure to turn off lights and turning down cooler or heater (if applicable) and ensuring that the office door is locked after setting the security alarm, if needed.
Light housekeeping duties to maintain an orderly and presentable office.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
Sitting for long periods of time.
Light-to-moderate cleaning duties when needed.
Lifting up to 20 pounds (e.g., office deliveries or trash bags).
Reaching, bending, or kneeling (e.g., stocking supplies, filling copiers, etc.).
Work Environment/Conditions:
Office environment, including incoming phone calls, filing, and computer work.
Required Education and Experience:
Previous office/administrative experience preferred.
Previous experience with Word, Excel, Dropbox, and calendar upkeep preferred.
High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred, but not required.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Aptitudes:
Administrative Clerks must be dependable, reliable, and completely trustworthy, as they have access to proprietary and potentially sensitive or confidential information.
Administrative Clerks must be responsive, professional, and efficient in their interactions with staff, customers, employees, and vendors.
Administrative Clerks must be organized, flexible, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
Administrative Clerks must consistently display a positive, honest, and enthusiastic attitude.
Training Requirements:
Administrative Clerks will receive on-the-job training from corporate office staff.
Training will last for a minimum of two (2) weeks but may last longer.
Training will consist of learning basic corporate operations and company policies and procedures.
