Job Description
Ascend partners with Highland Rivers Health, Georgia’s largest Community Service Board (CSB), to staff clinical and non-clinical jobs in behavioral health. Being part of our team and working in a CSB means you’re helping individuals and families otherwise unable to access treatment from private providers to address healthcare challenges associated with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases. You’ll be working with purpose to make a difference in the lives of people who need you most. Each of our jobs in healthcare will work in a Highland Rivers Health facility.
- Provides administrative assistance to housing support program (HSP) staff
- Assists with scheduling housing inspections
- Assists with submitting voucher renewals and leases
- Serves as a liaison between agencies such as DBHDD, DCA, Marietta Housing Authority, etc
- Completes chart maintenance including scheduling BHAs, entering orders, completing authorizations
- Creates and performs monthly and weekly reports to accounting and Residential Support Services Program Manager
- Checks GRIDs, MEIRS, and other reports from Housing Specialists for errors. Submits to Finance Department and State Officials (ie HUD data quality report)
- Document face-to-face and over-the-phone sessions in ECR; including complaints, results of assessments, etc.
- Continually and proactively educate oneself about new developments in the field and work with colleagues to share information and best practices
- Collect, compile, and submit data required for program evaluation and grant reporting under contract.
- Maintain accurate and detailed participant records (rent payments, etc)
- Establishes professional and ethical relationships with individuals, families, and coworkers including maintaining professional boundaries.
- Exhibits good communication skills (oral, written and active listening)
- Communicates suggestions and/or complaints through appropriate channels.
- Displays flexibility, cooperation and a positive attitude.
- Participates in the weekly residential team meeting.
- Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Requests direction and supervision when appropriate.
- Adheres to safety and infection control guidelines.

Requirements:High School diploma or GED required.
Ability to deal effectively with conflict situations, manages aggressive behavior, and use non-violent crisis intervention and behavioral management techniques.
At least one year experience working in mental health or substance use disorder field preferred.
Must be able to pass background investigation, drug screen and have good 7year motor vehicle report.
