Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Administrative Analyst III for the department of Family Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Assists in the review, analysis and appraisal of current department administrative procedures, organization and performance and helps to prepare recommendations for changes and/or revisions; does other related work as required.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Assists in administratively supporting department programs, centers, and divisions using established procedures and standards.
  • Assists in the work involved in determining whether department activities and programs are essential and are carried out economically and efficiently.
  • Maintains the daily/long range calendars and schedules for all SLT members, including meetings for the University, President/CEO/Deans/President's Cabinet to optimize time and efficiency.
  • Responsible for processing all financial documents including but not limited to: Electronic Purchase requisitions, invoices, request for checks, travel reimbursements, interdepartmental transfers, and change in source of funds forms.
  • Maintains time and attendance records, and coordinates schedules.
  • Coordinates under the Business Manager's supervision all faculty and staff recruitments, appointments, applications for advancement and promotion, terminations, and faculty evaluations.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree plus two (2) years of responsible experience involving the review, analysis and evaluation of budgets, organizations, administrative practices, computer applications, and the recommendation of improved methods, preferably in a large business, government agency or educational institution.
  • Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
