Job Posting Summary
Mercy University is seeking applicants for teaching opportunities in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs at our Bronx and Dobbs Ferry campuses. These positions require the ability to teach courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs. Applicants for lab instruction will teach in the undergraduate nursing program in the following clinical areas: Health Assessment, Fundamentals, Medical-Surgical I and II.
This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking Adjunct Faculty teaching opportunities who wish to teach courses per semester in a culturally diverse setting, when courses are available. Course assignments are dependent upon the needs of the University each semester. Experience teaching nursing courses is preferred.
Qualifications
  • A doctoral degree is required for teaching graduate courses and a master's degree in nursing is the minimum requirement for teaching in the undergraduate program.
  • PhD, EdD, DNSc, or DNP for graduate courses.
  • Minimum Master's degree in nursing required for undergraduate courses
  • National certification in clinical specialty preferred.
  • Lab experience recommended for lab courses but teaching experience preferred
