LSSI is hiring a full-time IFR Addictions Supervisor. Supervises a team of counselor/case managers who, in collaboration with a child welfare partner, provide intensive, home-based clinical and case management services to women referred by DCFS who have given birth to a substance-exposed infant. Other referrals may be made of families with significant drug usage indicating risk of harm to affected children. Team is split between two office locations.

Essential Functions: 
  • Supervise team of AOD workers to provide an array of case management, outreach and aftercare services to clients and their families in need of substance abuse treatment. May carry a small caseload if needed.
  • Provide back-up and/or in-person support for staff as needed on home visits, at hearings, staffing’s, etc. Also plan and facilitate training for team.
  • Meet productivity requirements as established by supervisor.
  • Communicate via regular staffing’s and as needed with supervisor, AOD and child welfare staff, DCFS and collateral agencies regarding progress of children and families on established treatment goals.
  • Completes and submits all necessary reports and documentation accurately and on time as required by agency, regulatory bodies and funding sources.
Position Qualifications: 
  • Master’s degree in human services required, master’s degree in social work preferred.
  • Two years of experience in substance abuse treatment and case management required. Prior experience with child welfare involved families desire.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent communication, organization, presentation and pc/computer skills (including proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) along with other related software.
  • Background check clearance, both criminal and CANTS
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license, and proof of automobile liability insurance.
