We're looking for someone to join our team as an Addiction Medicine Physician who:

The Addiction Medicine Specialist is a board-certified Family Medicine/Internal Medicine physician with board certification or eligibility in Addiction Medicine who provides outpatient and inpatient substance use disorders evaluation and treatment. In addition, this role will serve as core faculty of the Addiction Medicine fellowship.


Essential Functions:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine the nature and extent of their addiction and any co-occurring mental health conditions.
      • Develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication-assisted treatment, counseling, and behavioral therapies.
      • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as primary care providers, psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Provide ongoing care and support to patients and their families, including education and counseling.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Stay current with the latest research and treatment approaches in Addiction Medicine.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other program development activities as needed.
  • Required to supervise advance assigned practice providers (Nurse practitioners and/or Physicians Assistant's) on- site and by telephone with outlying clinic site
  • Assures quality of care for all patients at all times and regularly participates in clinic Peer Review and Quality Assurance Programs
  • Shares in phone-triage responsibilities with other CSV physicians.


You will be successful with the following qualifications:

  • Professional clinical experience in physician's specialty.
  • California Physician’s License
  • DEA Certificate
  • BLS certification
  • Professional clinical experience in physician's specialty.
  • Board Certification highly desirable.
  • Experience in EPIC is highly preferred.
  • Authoritative knowledge of the principles, practice, and techniques in the physician's specialty.
  • Interests in the research potential inherent in physician's specialty highly desirable.
