We are seeking Maryland State-approved ( Trainee, CSC-AD, CAC-AD...) counselors to provide individual and group counseling to substance abusers and their codependents with the goal of helping them establish and maintain a substance-free lifestyle, thereby enhancing their quality of life. Assess, treat, counsel, and refer clients of the agency. Provide crisis intervention services.
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals.
- Assist in the client intake process
- Administer approved assessment instruments and interpret the results.
- Ability to determine the level of care placement using ASAM criteria
- Familiarity with the OP, IOP & PHP levels of care
- Develop treatment plans (Initial and Concurrent Reviews) to include problem areas, goals, interventions, desired outcomes, and treatment strategies, as well as make referrals for services.
- Provide counseling and case management for clients with substance use disorders.
- Facilitate didactic group meetings with clients
- Provide individual/crisis counseling sessions
- Attend weekly supervision, treatment team sessions
- Provide individual and group counseling services, coordinate referrals and additional service linkage throughout treatment.
- Maintain accurate and updated client records.
- Involve families, significant others, and additional providers in the client's recovery process whenever possible.
- Respond, as needed, to client grievances and treatment concerns.
- Abide by all policies, procedures, and practices.
- Successfully complete all training within the required timeframes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certification or license (ADT, CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, LCADC) is required: Trainee Status letter from the State of Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists
