Join our team! The City of Kentwood is hiring anAdaptive Sports Instructorin the Parks and Recreation Department.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $15.00 to $20.00, dependent on qualifications and experience. The City of Kentwood Parks and Recreation Department offers exciting perks for seasonal and irregular part-time employees. Team members can enjoy the programs and facilities their work supports through discounted program registrations and a 10% discount on one room or shelter rental per year. Certain employees will also receive free CPR training through the city.
Main responsibilities for this role include leading classes for individuals with disabilities including, but not limited to: archery, boccia, bowling, cycling, golf, kayaking and pickleball.
Our ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities, and one year of experience playing or coaching multiple sports.
