Responsibilities

 

2nd Shift -  3:15 pm  - 11:45 pm, Monday through Friday - overtime on Saturdays and as business needs dictate.

New Entry Level Starting Pay $16.00/hr plus $1.50/hr Shift Differential - $17.50/hr - Additional compensation may be available for experience.

Tuesday        December 5, 2023  - 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Thursday      December 7, 2023 - 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

 

On the spot interviews are being conducted for 2nd Shift Production positions.  **Shoes that cover your entire foot are required to go onto the manufacturing floor and safety glasses will be provided. **

 

For more than 100 years, our passionate mission of safety empowers us to protect lives.  Globe invented Fire Fighter Protective Clothing / Turn Out Gear / Fire Suits over 137 years ago and we are proud to protect those on the front line today!  We are looking to hire Production Workers for our Pittsfield, New Hampshire manufacturing plant and perform sewing and non-sewing operations as we convert specialty cut fabric into high quality turnout gear.  

 

Production Workers are needed for stitching operations and may learn jobs in other areas:

• Stitching (Sewing Operators)
  • Utilize a variety of industrial single needle, double needle and programmable machines to stitch one of over 100 operations needed to complete the turnout gear shell or liner. Every operator is responsible for the quality of their work and is expected to support their departmental team by learning at least two additional operations.

• Machine Operator roles (Snapping, Seam Seal, Automated Stitching, Trim, Cutting).
  • Cutting fabric into pieces using a Gerber Cutter.
  • Ability to use and understand a ruler and measurements.

Qualifications

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Have basic knowledge of computers or tablets.
• Strong organization skills and high attention to detail.
• Willing to hire and train candidates of at all levels including entry level with no experience.

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to read, write and speak basic English.
• Background check, drug screen and pre-employment physicals is required.
• Must be able to stand/walk for full shift.
• Able to assist in team lifting of approximately 30 pounds.

Additional Requirements Preferred:

• Previous experience in Sewing, Manufacturing, Machine Operation, Assembly, Quality Control and Inspection desirable.
