Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will demonstrate the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the competency validation checklist(s).
• You will successfully complete the required pharmacology test(s). 
• You will demonstrate age specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients.
• You will meet mutually-agreed upon performance goals/objectives established annually as listed on the Performance Management Plan.
• You role utilizes nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients.
• You will actively seek ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care or the services delivered. 
• You will demonstrate knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues. 
• Your role follows established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient's care which results in patient harm. 
• You will attend in-service presentations, and complete mandatory education, including, but not limited to, infection control, patient safety, quality improvement, MSDS and OSHA standards. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Nurse
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Rehab experience strongly preferred
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred but not required
