Key Responsibilities
- Serve critical role in the annuity risk model development cycle by leading testing of model improvements to ensure accuracy of risk reporting results and enable new risk mitigation solutions
- Assist in assessing impacts of model change requests by developing expertise on market sensitivities, Stat/GAAP accounting, and modeling techniques
- Develop subject matter expert in Prophet annuity models (run settings, run structures, run execution and results retrieval)
- Participates in ad-hoc projects within a well-defined scope and responsibility and performs actuarial modeling and analysis.
- With limited supervision, perform tasks critical annuity to annuity risk model maintenance and BAU reporting processes with results visible to management.
- Supports the validation and development of business controls.
- Support the development and implementation of process improvements and automation routines
- Provide critical support to Model owners for ongoing model governance requirements.
- Professional development to maintain Actuarial credentials
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent (4 years)
- 3-5 years relevant experience
- All Introductory ASA exams plus 1 Actuarial/Advanced ASA Exam or Requirement.
- Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) coursework completion.
- Ability to work independently; self-starter.
- Strong technical skill set (e.g. actuarial modeling software, python, excel & other MS office applications)
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree with focus on Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Data Science or related disciplines
- Experience with FIS Prophet Enterprise and/or Prophet Professional
- Understanding of annuity liabilities, fixed income/derivative assets and financial modeling concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across the organization
