Join our Activity Team! Work closely with the Activity Director and other team members to learn all aspects of our department. You’ll have opportunity to run activity programs by tag teaming, solo leading, and working side by side. You will need computer skills, ability to read directions, stories, and educational programs in front of groups, be comfortable 1:1 with residents, be prepared to lead exercises and active games, and be ready to spend much time on the go.

The position tasks are preparing and facilitating many of the day to day programs but will also include completing resident assessments, resident quarterly and annual notes, care planning, and making community connections.
Full-Time schedule, 30-32 hours per week. Scheduled weekends and holidays are included on a rotating basis with potential to pick up/swap with other team members. Scheduled evening activities may also be required and/or available to pick up/swap with other team members.:

The Activities Assistant will work side by side with the Activities Director assisting with the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of activities for our patients and residents.
DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of activities for our patients and residents.
- Assist with transporting, communicating, and setting up for activities in and out of the facility on a regular basis; as well as order and pick up the materials for the activities (as needed).
- Conduct one-on-one activity therapy to offer sensory stimulation and group activities to ensure patients and residents make personal progress.
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent; college credits are preferred.
- Should have an aptitude for, and some training in, arts and crafts
- Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record and provide proof of liability insurance
