- Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities for residents in an assisted living, memory care, or nursing home setting.
- Collaborate with the activities director to develop a diverse calendar of events and programs.
- Lead group activities such as arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, and social gatherings.
- Provide one-on-one support and companionship to residents who may have limited mobility or cognitive impairments.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating transportation for off-site outings and appointments.
- Document resident participation and behavior during activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized activity area.
```Experience```
- Previous experience in event planning, recreational therapy, social work, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with aging issues and the unique needs of seniors is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals who may have physical or cognitive limitations.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage activity schedules and ensure timely execution of events.
- Previous experience in caregiving or senior care is a plus.
