Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, plan, and implement AD in an enterprise network.
  • Modify AD schema.
  • Manage AD sites and services.
  • Manage AD physical architecture and AD logical
  • Design, plan, and implement AD sites and subnets.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot AD replication.
  • Prepare a domain controller strategy.
  • Manage AD domains and trust.
  • Design, plan, implement, and manage Organizational Units (OUs).
  • Monitor and perform backup and restoration of
  • Create AD disaster recover
  • Design, plan, implement, and manage group policies for an enterprise environment.
  • Plan and perform group policy optimization, security, etc.
  • Perform group policy backup and recovery.
  • Manage administrative templates for group policies.
  • Create a strategy for configuring the user environment and the computer environment with group policy.
  • Maintain security compliances at the domain controller server and domain level using all applicable DOD security check list and tasking's.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of multiple Active Directory and messaging environments, to include:
    • Proper functioning of the systems
    • The health of multiple forests
    • View logs
    • Troubleshoot problems as they arise
  • Document the MDM environment in the form of Standard Operating Procedures, Network Maps, and Process Flow Diagrams to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Conduct STIG Checklist reviews on applicable operating system, application and hardware configurations for the mobile-devices and the MDM environment.
  • Develop and maintain mobile-device asset and configuration reports using MDM reporting tools and other commercial off the shelf resources (e.g. Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft Excel, etc.) to ensure the continued situational awareness of Enterprise Microsoft Endpoints and associated Software Deployments, as required by the Government.
  • Troubleshoot functionality issues with Mobile Devices such as iPhones or the associated MDM services which includes: (1) Mobile Device Provisioning, (2) MobileVPN, (3) Mobile-E-mail, and (4) Mobile Microsoft 365 services.
  • Develop / Deploy / device profile configurations via the MDM for mobile endpoints which includes iOS, MacOS, Windows, and Android based devices.
  • Apply all required software security patches from approved sources, specifically those classified as IAVM and NVD, MDM Infrastructure within Branch's span of control which include VMWare, WorkspaceOne, and the applicable VMWare systems which may consist of Windows, Linux, or proprietary operating systems.
  • Develop/Assist in creation of Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) related to vulnerability findings.
  • Develop / create / maintain knowledge-based articles (KBA) for end-users and Tier 1 and 2 technicians on Mobile-Device usage and troubleshooting as well as MDM operations by other system administrators.
  • Support DLA's transition to other MDM platforms such as Microsoft InTune or Mobile Iron as part of DoD's Mobility Unclassified Capability (DMUC).
  • Perform Classroom or virtual training to end user or DLA support staff as needed.
  • Review and approve system administrator access requests as required by the government to ensure the right qualified administrators have access to the MDM at the right time.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience:
    • Seven (7) years of progressive experience in Microsoft Windows Server 2008 r2 or newer administration, Microsoft Active Directory 2016 or newer administration, and/or Microsoft Exchange 2010 or newer administration experience.
      • Experience should include at least five projects in one or more of these technical
      • At least one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years.
    • Two (2) years of Microsoft PowerShell for AD experience
  • Certifications:
    • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level III
      • CASP+ CE
      • CCNP Security
      • CISA
      • CISSP (or Associate)
      • GCED
      • GCIH
      • CCSP
    • Computing Environment Certification (One of the following):
      • MCSE: 2012
      • MCSA: WS2012
      • MCSE 2016
      • MCSA WS2016
      • MC Azure SAE
      • MC Azure SEA
  • Clearance:
    • Must possess Secret Clearance.
