Essential Functions
The Financial Aid Administrator & Scholarship Coordinator shall perform the following duties under the supervision of the Director of Financial Aid.
- Implement existing Financial Aid programs and assist in the development of new programs.
- Coordinate the College's activities associated with institutional and non-institutional scholarship programs by publishing, disseminating, and updating program information, aiding applicants, coordinating the proper documentation, tracking, and reconciliation of awards, and completing other related activities as needed.
- Provide quality customer service by counseling students regarding financial planning, responsible borrowing, and identifying and applying for available sources of funding.
- Serve as the primary point-of-contact for student and parent inquiries related to Financial Aid.
- Review application documents (including federal tax returns and additional supporting documentation) containing confidential information for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with the packaging, awarding, origination, and disbursement of Direct Student Loans, and participate in all related quality assurance activities.
- Utilize electronic student information systems and/or client server software, any supporting applications, and U.S. Department of Education applications and software for the accurate and timely completion of processing.
- Provide professional representation of the Office of Financial Aid (OFA) and the College at official functions, and act as liaison to selected external organizations.
- Plan, organize, and deliver presentations at student Financial Aid workshops, financial literacy training events, and other group counseling sessions.
- Conduct Direct Loan delinquency monitoring and assist with default prevention efforts.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of legislation and regulations governing Financial Aid programs, federal and state tax laws, FERPA, and office policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for submission to College partners and external organizations.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience Required
- Two (2) years of work experience in an institution of higher education
- Five (5) years of work experience in an institution of higher education.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
- A master's degree in a relevant field
