Introduction

The Accreditation Consultant WFH (Work from Home) is a key member of the HCA Healthcare GME team that contributes to the company’s mission and vision for Graduate Medical Education by participating in the team that supports new program development and program improvement for the HCA Healthcare GME service line. This role is responsible for creating new sponsoring institution and program applications resulting in GME financial growth due to successful initial accreditation and supporting continued accreditation. 

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Participates in a core team approach to developing subject matter expertise in the context of program application, evaluation form development and policy construction for successful GME accreditation
• Manages key project deliverables, with strict adherence to timelines
• Teams with DIOs, Division and facility leaders, and Program Directors and Coordinators to develop program applications and related documentation in compliance with ACGME requirements
• Works alongside the System-Wide Accreditation Team (SWATeam) in order to support programs and sponsoring institutions seeking continued accreditation and gain insight into the overall goals of new program and institutional development
• Engages all necessary personnel at program, facility, division and corporate levels to create highest quality work products, resulting in positive accreditation outcomes  Consults directly with HCA GME Regional and Division Vice Presidents before, during and after program application development
• Maintains an expert level of knowledge and competence in ACGME accreditation requirements and procedures for all assigned specialties, including tracking changes to those requirements as they impact programs for which the Project Manager is responsible
• Retrieves and converts data into ACGME format for multiple specialties in preparation of accreditation documentation
• Demonstrates excellent writing skills, with emphasis on English language grammar and compelling communication in the context of Graduate Medical Education, including responsiveness to questions and compliance with requirements
• Collaborates with multiple colleagues inside of and outside of HCA Graduate Medical Education, in order to achieve initial and continued accreditation of our institutions and programs
• Gains insight into local clinical learning environments in order to represent in applications for initial accreditation each program’s approach to compliance with ACGME requirements

EDUCATION:

• Bachelors of Science degree required; Master’s Degree in Business and/or Healthcare Administration is preferred

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum five years of experience in Graduate Medical Education, in a role that requires writing, analysis, data gathering and presentation
• Effective working knowledge of ACGME accreditation (institutional and program requirements)
