Position Overview:
The Department Lead performs a variety of leadership support within the Accounts Receivables department which includes monitoring staff performance, assisting staff with complex issues, daily monitoring of receivables and posting activities.
What you'll do:
- Support staff members with questions & problem resolution in a timely manner.
- Monitor staff members' performance and alerting management of training needs.
- Monitor for efficiency & accuracy in daily workflow.
- Maintain daily balancing of patient & insurance receipts.
- Ensure daily posting of patient & insurance receipts.
- Support and serve as back up to key positions within the department
- Assist in training & implementation of new workflows & KPIs.
- Proactively monitor for critical trends and communicate them with department manager.
- Assist with monthly interdepartmental reconciliation.
- Present on-site 2-3 days a week.
- Process refunds and post payments as needed.
- One year of cash accounting lead experience.
- Other projects & duties that may be assigned.
This position requires excellent leadership, customer service skills, both internal and external, strong organizational skills, strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills combined with the ability to multitask, typing/keyboarding skills, Excel spreadsheet, basic math skills, and basic insurance, Explanation of Benefits and patient account knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: High School Diploma plus two years clerical experience required.
- Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or sitting for extended periods of time, as well as repetitive use of hands and fingers.
