Role Summary

The position reports to the Senior Manager, North America Corporate Control. This position is a critical part of the NA Corporate Control and Shared Services team supporting the Accounts Payable function. The person in this role would also be responsible for a team of two Accounts Payable analysts, day to day functions of the Accounts Payable group, supporting and maintaining a strong control environment and assisting local management with any ad hoc assignments and projects as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of two Accounts Payable Analysts
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable to the general ledger
  • Responsible for monthly analyses and journal entries for various accruals accounts.
  • Manage employee expense reimbursement process
  • Manage the vendor payment process (both checks and EFT/ACH transactions) to include weekly check runs and employee expense payments; analyze accounts as necessary
  • Assist with yearly 1099 reporting process
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and company Accounts Payable policies/procedures
     

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting/or Accounts Payable
  • Experience with JD Edwards and SAP ERP systems is strongly preferred
     

Additional Information

  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, controls, reconciliation, and A/P and cash disbursement practices.
  • Possess superior organizational and documentation skills, attention to detail and strong teamwork
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects with competing priorities with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with high volume of transactions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while preserving the strict confidentiality of all data.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies
