United Talent Staffing is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Hope Gas team in Remote Hybrid/Morgantown, WV.
The Accounts Payable Specialist will ensure the efficient and prompt handling of all financial obligations. This role requires a self-driven individual with a positive outlook and a proactive mindset. No task is too big or small for the right candidate, who should excel in managing responsibilities independently with a strong sense of urgency.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute Accounts Payable functions and supporting activities including vendor maintenance, payment runs, 1099 reporting, procurement card administration and internal/external reporting of company disbursements.
- Verify and process vendor additions and changes ensuring proper controls and maintain supporting documentation.
- Process vendor disbursements ensuring proper controls including reconciliation to bank files and reports.
- Support procurement card program with card issuance, maintenance and monitoring of reconciliation status
- Perform audits of pocket reimbursement requests and purchasing card transactions
- Resolve purchase order, invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Process year-end 1099 and 1099-S reporting, ensuring proper vendor W-9 information and classification.
- Assist in month end closing and reconcile payables related general ledger accounts.
- Perform special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by the Accounting and Finance leadership team.
- Support the implementation of the S/4-Hana ERP Accounts Payable system and Concur Expense Reporting systems.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable or accounting experience
- Knowledge of entire procure to pay process and proper controls.
- Strong computer skills including Excel.
- Basic knowledge of contracts and purchasing
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of personal initiative and self-motivation
Education Requirement
- Associate degree in accounting required.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
Salary - $65,000 - $75,000
Reporting to - Accounts Payable Supervisor
