ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
  • Responsible for responding to supplier inquiries and providing effective customer service. Also provide root cause analysis on the issues to solve the problems going forward
  • Research supplier claims and provide feedback on status and actions needed to resolve issues
  • Execute the daily interface upload reconciliations as defined. Identify common trends for exceptions and recommend solutions
  • In some cases, manage the daily flow of invoice thru the symbeo ODC. Solve exceptions and perform trend analysis to drive down those exceptions going forward
  • Reconcile complicated statements using v lookup tools. Work with assigned suppliers to resolve open statement issues and root cause analysis to prevent issues going forward
  • Responsible for executing controls around daily payment processing. Deal with urgent property requests and identify trends causing urgent requests
  • In some cases, execute the tasks of the vendor maintenance functions. Provide strong controls in decision making on the setup and maintenance of supplier in accordance with our registration policies.
  • In some cases. Work with third party use tax auditor to review spend calculate use tax and confirm accuracy. Identify suppliers not handling sales tax correctly
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Monitors compliance to key overall AP department performance measures. Offers feedback and implements recommended changes to improve processes.
  • Maintains strong supplier relations in the areas to which you are assigned.
  • Other special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Associate degree (A.A.) in accounting or other related field; or three or more years of experience in an accounting or AP team. Experience with multi-unit company preferred.
  • USE TAX experience.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
  • Must have strong organization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
