United Talent is immediately hiring an Accounts Payable Associate in Vienna, WV!
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions related to vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments. Your primary responsibility will be managing the Accounts Payable process, maintaining vendor relationships, and collaborating with various departments to guarantee timely and accurate payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing:
- Receive, review, and verify invoices from vendors and subcontractors for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system accurately and promptly.
- Resolve discrepancies and issues with invoices by collaborating with internal departments or vendors.
- Payment Processing:
- Organize and process payment runs, ensuring adherence to payment schedules and terms.
- Prepare and execute electronic payments (ACH, wire transfers) or issue physical checks as required.
- Monitor and reconcile Accounts Payable transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments.
- Vendor Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving payment-related issues promptly.
- Coordinate with procurement and project management teams to confirm purchase order details and resolve discrepancies.
- Record-Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and organized Accounts Payable records, both physical and electronic.
- Generate regular reports on Accounts Payable status, outstanding balances, and cash flow projections as needed.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations in all Accounts Payable processes.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting information.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement and contribute to the development and implementation of improved Accounts Payable procedures.
Shift & Pay:
This is a temporary to permanent position.
Pay starts at $20/hour, based on experience.
Schedule is Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass drug test and background check
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable, preferably within the construction or related industry.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks software and MS Office suite (Word and Excel)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with vendors, internal teams, and management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
