Job Title: Accounts Payable Analyst-US Job Summary:

To ensure accurate and timely accounting records for vendor invoices and purchase orders in the JD Edwards (JDE) Accounts Payable module within North America. Duties include performing a variety of complex clerical and entry-level Accounts Payable and accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records, and assisting the Accounts Payable team with miscellaneous related tasks.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares, proofs, and enters vendor invoice and purchase order information into the JDE AP module
• Insures that all invoices and purchase orders contain sufficient accounting coding information that is required for entry into JDE
• Assists with the processing of weekly check runs and issuance of vendor checks
• Files vendor invoices and purchase orders and other administrative tasks as assigned
• Provides external auditors with copies of required documents during year-end audit
• Works closely with Treasury staff to insure wire transfer information is submitted on a timely and accurate basis
• Distributes mail within AP unit
• May assist Accounting department staff with special projects
• Provides copies of required documents upon request

Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:

• 3+ years experience in AP and AP software systems is required; JDE is preferred
• Knowledge of accounting theories, practices and accepted office procedures is required
• Ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy is required
• Ability to understand and follow complex oral/written instructions and technical terminology is required
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented enviornment, supporting the Accounts Payable and Accouting teams
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, international colleagues, and vendors
• Understanding of generally accepted Accounting Principles and the impact AP has on the company general ledger

Education/Certifications:

• High school graduate; college credits in Accounting or equivalent work experience

Conditions of Employment:

• Must pass a pre-employment background check
• Must pass occupational health screening

Physical Working Environment:

• The position works in a climate controlled office environment and requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
