We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented full-time Accounts Payable Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial transactions. The Accounts Payable Analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining vendor relationships, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, managing expense reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Accounts Payable AnalystEssential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Invoice Processing:
    • Review and process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts to verify pricing, quantities, terms, and approvals.
  2. Vendor Management:
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors through effective communication and issue resolution.
    • Address vendor inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Expense Reconciliation:
    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate payment and accounting records.
    • Verify expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
  4. Payment Processing:
    • Prepare and process weekly check runs, electronic payments, and wire transfers.
    • Manage payment schedules to take advantage of early payment discounts and optimize cash flow.
  5. Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
    • Maintain accurate and organized documentation for audit purposes.
  6. Month-End Closing:
    • Assist in month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable, including reconciliation of supporting documentation to the general ledger.
    • Provide necessary reports and analyses to support financial reporting.
  7. Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements in the Accounts Payable function.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and streamline workflows.

Accounts Payable AnalystQualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software (SAP a plus) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
