This position is also being announced to applicants eligible to apply through Merit Staffing procedures under 23-HI-11899241-MS.Qualifications: GS-6: To be eligible at the GS-6 level, you must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level in Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience that requires knowledge of basic and commonly used accounting or other financial management procedures, methods, and techniques associated with clerical types of duties such as: inputting data into an automated accounting system; reviewing documents or transactions (vouchers, receipts, invoices, etc.) for basic information such as signatures, prices, services, per diem rates, accounting codes or other information; maintaining files; providing information on the status of actions or responding to routine inquiries.
GS-7: To be eligible at the GS-7 level, you must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-6 level in Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience that requires knowledge of standardized regulations, requirements, procedures, and operations associated with technical duties related to accounting or financial management support functions such as: using an automated accounting system to prepare financial reports; reviewing financial obligation documents; verifying financial appropriation data; verifying the availability of funds; processing bill payments; analyzing transactions; reviewing travel requests and authorizations; investigating and resolving routine or recurring financial related discrepancies.
Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
