Position Title: Accounting Personnel

Location: Houma, LA

Reporting to: Accounting Manager

Salary range: Nonexempt hourly - $18 - $23 DOE

Essential Functions

Responsible for working with the Accounting Manager to prepare financial documents relating to Benoit operations and ensuring the accuracy of the documents. Accounting Personnel report directly to the Accounting Manager and have authority over no other employee.

Role and Responsibilities

· Maintain accounting records.

· Ensure job costing is correct prior to invoicing.

· Ensure sales taxes are applied properly.

· Ensure statements and records comply with laws and regulations.

· Keep the company’s financial information secure.

· Perform entries in various accounting modules and monitor accounts.

· Investigate and collect overdue accounts.

· Reconcile records, as needed, with company personnel & management, or external vendors and/or customers.

· Coordinate and assist with financial audits, as required.

· Provide telephone support as required.

· Perform errands in town as needed.

· Abide by Company Policies.

Candidate’s minimum skills and experiences.

Qualifications:

· Enrolled in or graduated with an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

· Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability.

· Must be able to work in the United States without being sponsored now or in the future.
