Position Overview:
The Accounting Supervisor will play a pivotal role in our organization, overseeing the financial activities of our various entities and serving as a bridge between the Controller and the accounting staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, staff management experience, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise the accounting team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Collaborate with the Controller to develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Serve as a key point of contact between the Controller and accounting staff, facilitating communication and coordination to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, providing analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
Conduct regular reviews and audits of financial data to identify discrepancies, errors, and areas for improvement.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and tax filings as needed.
Stay updated on accounting regulations, industry trends, and best practices, and proactively implement changes to improve processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA designation preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including supervisory or management roles.
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Turnkey software.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
Experience working in a multi-entity environment or diverse industry sectors is a plus.

- Proven technical skills- Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation

- Solid understanding of Annual Financial Reporting
- Command of cost accounting
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
- 5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
- CPA or MBA preferred
