Job Description
Essen Health Care is currently seeking an Accounting Manager. The desired candidate will be responsible leading the month-end financial closing, including review of account reconciliations, financial statement analysis, communication with internal and external stakeholders as well as supervision of the senior and staff accounting team members. The candidate also needs to be a strong critical thinker who pays attention to details, is a self-starter and a team player. The candidate should also possess the desire to expand their skill set and grow with the Company.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee account reconciliations, KPI’s and closing activities while ensuring timely delivery of financial information.
- Oversee 2-5 staff members in accounting and external divisions.
- Prepare and analyze cash expenditure and other reports for Senior Management.
- Act as a point of contact between internal departments and the accounting team, serving as a liaison between accounting and external parties.
- Develop and coordinate the automation of accounting applications and processes.
- Work with external auditors, which include responsibility as the primary coordinator of schedule and testing requests as well preparer of draft annual financial statements and related footnote disclosures.
- Enhance internal control procedures and documentation over financial reporting.
- Timely identification of issues, proposed resolution and follow through of the issues identified.
- Special projects, including but not limited to internal and external audits, reviews and compliance reporting.
- Perform ad hoc additional duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- BS in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- CPA highly preferred
- Someone familiar with debits and credits and understands the process of a monthly close.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including experience in v-lookup and pivot tables
- 3+ years’ experience in senior level accounting role, with supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management, problem solving, and math skills.
- High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency and ability to multi-task
- Big 4 experience (Preferred)
- Healthcare Experience (Preferred)

Salary: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
