Overview
We are looking for a highly efficient, experienced, and goal-oriented Accounting Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, creative, startup environment. This is a tremendous growth opportunity reporting to the Associate Director of Accounting. Our ideal candidate has a high desire to deliver excellence and brings enthusiasm to your work and everything you do.
What You’ll Do
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
Manage month-end financial close process (including schedules, proper review/maintenance of account reconciliation and accruals)
Maintain the general ledger and review monthly reconciliation schedules.
Manage sales tax reporting and compliance.
Directly oversee the Accounts Payable function.
Oversee all revenue sales channels including Sephora, Shopify, and wholesale.
Initiate processes and streamline existing processes for efficiency and to sustain future growth of the company.
Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
What We Are Looking For
Must Have:
BA/BS in accounting or finance with proven experience as an Accounting Manager with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Direct experience with Accounting ERP systems such as Netsuite or any similar ERP
Ability to direct and supervise the work of the accounting team.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented with excellent follow-through abilities, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently work with internal departments while prioritizing workload.
Nice to Have:
Inventory experience is a plus.
Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is highly desirable.
Prior experience with Shopify, Expensify, any AP platform, &Sephora is a plus.
Public accounting experience a plus
