Job Description
Summary/objective
Responsible for being a hands-on leader to help lead an accounting administrative team to generate accurate and efficient accounting records.
Essential Functions
- Monitoring and reviewing the team’s progress and ensuring deadlines are being met
- Reviewing and approving payments to be set up
- Posting of bi-weekly payroll
- Pulling and analyzing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for departmental, managerial, and company needs
- Monitoring bank account/credit card balances and activity
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Calculating and submitting sales and use tax
- Submitting and maintaining business licenses
- Assisting with month-end processes and reconciliations
- Assisting to develop and manage company KPIs
- Monitoring and maintaining installer insurance coverage records
- Improving inefficient processes

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervising the accounting administrative staff (2-3 employees)
Work environment: Office work environment
Physical demands: Extended periods of sitting.
Occasional lite lifting of items of moderate weight (50 lbs.)
Travel required: Occasional travel to other company locations (0-5% of the time)
Required education and experience:
- AA or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- Google Suite or Microsoft Office Suite
- 5+ years in an accounting role with progressive responsibilities
- Relevant experience within the home builder/residential construction or related industry, preferably 2+ years of experience
- Management of an accounting/administrative team
