Summary/objective

Responsible for being a hands-on leader to help lead an accounting administrative team to generate accurate and efficient accounting records.

Essential Functions

  • Monitoring and reviewing the team’s progress and ensuring deadlines are being met
  • Reviewing and approving payments to be set up
  • Posting of bi-weekly payroll
  • Pulling and analyzing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for departmental, managerial, and company needs
  • Monitoring bank account/credit card balances and activity
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Calculating and submitting sales and use tax
  • Submitting and maintaining business licenses
  • Assisting with month-end processes and reconciliations
  • Assisting to develop and manage company KPIs
  • Monitoring and maintaining installer insurance coverage records
  • Improving inefficient processes

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supervising the accounting administrative staff (2-3 employees)

Work environment: Office work environment

Physical demands: Extended periods of sitting.

Occasional lite lifting of items of moderate weight (50 lbs.)

Travel required: Occasional travel to other company locations (0-5% of the time)

Required education and experience:

  • AA or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Google Suite or Microsoft Office Suite
  • 5+ years in an accounting role with progressive responsibilities
  • Relevant experience within the home builder/residential construction or related industry, preferably 2+ years of experience
  • Management of an accounting/administrative team
