We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join our team in our Memphis division. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information. This is a key leadership role within our organization, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the Memphis division, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions and reporting.Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper recording and documentation of financial transactions.Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.Provide guidance and support to the accounting team, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Support external audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.Required Skills/AbilitiesBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; previous experience as a degree accountant is preferred.Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.Proven experience in managing accounting operations and leading a team.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, including advanced skills in Excel.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.CPA or CMA certification is not required but desirable.If you are a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and finance, we invite you to join our dynamic team at American Equipment.
