WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and provide oversight to Financial Accounting team
- Lead Financial Reporting, banking, and cash management activities
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Fixed Assets
- Establish accounting policies, particularly related to revenue recognition and cost accounting and ensure compliance and consistency across the organization
- Drive change, as needed, to ensure compliance to GAAP/SOX, review and deliver recommendations for continuous improvement, and clearly communicate relevant fiscal information to executive management
- General Ledger management
- Oversee General Ledger account reconciliations
- Supervise journal entry preparation, monthly close process, analysis and monthly reporting tasks
- Review cash management schedules and provide oversight to the cash management process
- Assists and support the annual federal tax preparation process
- Coordinate with external 401(k) auditors to facilitate the annual audit process
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Accounting and/or Finance
- Project-based work experience including project leadership roles
- Diverse people and team supervisory or management experience
- Participation in volunteer activities, professional organizations, etc.
- Preferred: Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office product suite
- Strong business writing and verbal information-sharing abilities
- Strong presentation and meeting facilitation abilities
- Project management proficiency (e.g., project planning, status reporting, risk and issue management)
