We are looking for an efficient, detail-oriented, and highly effective Accounting Manager. The position will report to the Corporate Controller and will be responsible for leading the monthly close, maintaining the general ledger and reporting system, primary coordination with internal and external auditors, and various other corporate accounting, reporting, and treasury functions. As the Accounting Manager, you will lead the team through efficient, accurate, and SOX-compliant accounting and internal control processes at our corporate headquarters for the consolidated organization.

Responsibilities:*

• Coordinate Monthly Accounting Close Schedule
• Maintain the General Ledger (manage accounting periods, maintain chart of accounts)
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for SG&A and other owned areas; Analyze SG&A spending on a monthly basis
• Post weekly / bi-weekly payrolls to the GL, manage and record payroll accruals
• Lead & manage the accounts payable function, including day-to-day supervision of Accounts Payable personnel
• Coordinate SOX activities for the Company, act as primary contact for auditors
• Prepare and maintain reports in the Management Reporter
• Prepare & submit borrowing base calculation for credit facility; set monthly LIBOR commitments
• Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly debt compliance information to commercial lender
• Prepare and record accounting adjustments for revenue (including but not limited to FOB destination, ASC 606)
• Prepare and distribute certain month-end financial reporting for management (including but not limited to Quarterly End Market summary, Fixed & SG&A spending trend file)
• Draft and file SEC financial statements on Form 10-Q and Form 10-K
• Daily reporting of cash and debt, managing revolver borrowing & daily operations funding
• Coordinate the completion of balance sheet account reconciliations for all locations (Blackline Administrator)
• Prepare & analyze Sales & Use Tax returns
• Generate 1099s for vendors & manage the 1099 compliance process
• Draft benefit plan financial statements for company-sponsored 401K plan

Qualifications and Requirements:

• At least 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, including at least 2+ years managing other corporate accounting functions and staff.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Superior data management and data analysis skills
• Thorough knowledge of accounting (US GAAP) and management/ cost accounting principles & practices
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, primary Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Previous use of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains a plus
• MBA or CPA preferred
