Accounting Manager

+ Support accounting department management with special project and technical accounting matters
+ Support financial planning and analysis activities
+ Manage and assist in the preparation of various corporate and affiliate companies' financial reports; including preparation of financial information to external 3rd parties
+ Manage and assist in the external financial statement audits
+ Technical research and preparation of technical accounting position papers for significant business transactions including business combinations and revenue recognition
+ Monitoring of the activities of the accounting standard setting bodies, and, where applicable, assistance in the implementation of new accounting standards
+ Bachelor degree (Accounting or Finance preferred)
+ CPA preferred
+ 4 or more years' experience in public accounting; financial services background preferred
+ Extensive knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and significant experience in preparation of periodic financial reporting packages
+ Experience in the management of teams including all aspects of coaching, mentoring and providing verbal and written performance feedback
+ Prior experience in preparation and/or review of periodic journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions
+ Detail oriented with strong organization skills
+ Proven ability to work independently, yet function effectively within a collaborative team environment
